BLH Technologies Joins Healthy People 2020 Consortium

Rockville, Maryland – BLH Technologies, Inc., has joined the Healthy People 2020 Consortium and is proud to show our dedication to fulfilling the objectives of this important initiative. BLH’s expertise in health and human services, along with our particular focus on special and underserved populations, substance use and abuse, and public health, allows us to join other consortium members that have mutual goals.

The Healthy People 2020 Consortium is a diverse group of motivated agencies, including for-profit and nonprofit organizations, colleges and universities, and community-based organizations, that are committed to achieving the Healthy People 2020 goals and objectives. The consortium currently comprises more than 2,500 members.

The Healthy People initiative provides evidence-based, 10-year national objectives for improving the health of and achieving health equity for all Americans, and it includes measurable objectives with targets to be achieved over the decade. It is rooted in the principle that setting national objectives and monitoring progress can promote action. New focus areas for Healthy People 2020 include adolescent health; early and middle childhood; genomics; global health; health care-associated infections; health-related quality of life and well-being; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health; older adults; and the social determinants of health.
